Welcome to Blue Water Gold audio tour, a journey that transcends physical boundaries and invites you to connect with the universal presence of water. As you embark on this immersive experience, remember that while this tour is marked on a map, it can be enjoyed during any walk along any body of water. For water is interconnected; like the air, there is no separation from the waters around the world.
The moon, in all her full-rounded brightness, plays a pivotal role in the dance of water. Her gravitational pull moves the tides, orchestrating a sacred symphony that has echoed through millennia. It's giant-sized energetic embrace, is a timeless ritual which began with time itself.
I've always felt a profound connection to the water. Growing up in the city, my early years were spent playing in wooded areas along Black Creek and Lake Ontario. It was not unlikely to find me swimming, daydreaming, or contemplating life next to the water. My friends and I, made our second home nestled along the creek bank, where we spent long hot summer days swimming, building campfires, and swinging on tire swings and jumping bravely into the water. Today, there is a highway running through the lands which were once forrest.
This profound connection has helped me over the years to heal from depression, addiction and other trauma. For me, the water has always been a place of prayer, contemplation and giving thanks. Over time I have been invited to participate in sacred water ceremonies, water walks and during the pandemic, I worked with Environmental Defence helping to raise awareness about threats facing Lake Erie, and the Great Lakes. It has been through these experiences, that my bond with water continues to deepen, and now, I invite you to join me on this journey of reflection, appreciation, and connection with the life-giving essence of water.
This audio walk is dedicated to my mother and her mother who collected and carried water in their village in southern Italy.
Sincerely Annette Paiement
